THE WOODLANDS, TX – As the sun set on the evening of June 9, the Woodlands Resort hosted a private and VIP grand opening for Back Table Kitchen & Bar, officially inaugurating the new stylish and casual dining destination located in the middle of the gorgeous natural backdrop to the property’s lush golf greens.
Over 200 guests sipped on the restaurant’s myriad of adult milkshakes and craft cocktails, including the signature spicy Acapulco Sunset with Tanteo Jalapeño infused tequila. On the waterfront terraces overlooking the 18th hole of the Panther Trail course, the Allstars Champagne group entertained the crowd pouring outside for a taste of the live cooking stations orchestrated by Chef David Morris including succulent pig, braised prime rib and king salmon. Inside, southern-inspired bites like stuffed eggs, Chicharron Pimento cheese, and Louisiana shrimp and grits, plus an oyster bar and a plethora of delicious desserts, including a cream pie from Toasted coconut with macadamia nuts and Challah bread pudding with whiskey apples, caused quite a stir inside.
Notables making the festive summer kickoff scene: Jim Carman, Gordy Bunch, Dr. Shelley Sekula-Gibbs, Thomas Luersen, Jorge Franz, Gil Staley, Greg Parsons, Scott Harper, Dany & Ahiri Merlo.
