ORLANDO, Fla. – Marketplace in Avalon Park is getting a new restaurant where the guest is the chef.
Spoleto Italian Kitchen has agreed to be the new supplier to the food hall, Marketplace in Avalon Park.
Spoleto is known for its build-your-own portion of its menu, particularly the pasta, where customers can choose their base, six ingredients, a choice of sauce and toppings.
“At Spoleto, we are committed to the daily importance of eating well,” said Laura Henderson, Florida master franchisee in Spoleto. “We are passionate about sharing our table and our vision of food as a way to nourish the body. We feel the same way about Avalon. This neighborhood prides itself on the joys and satisfaction of residence.

According to a press release, “Spoleto will offer organic, non-GMO, farm-to-table cuisine in a fast, casual space at an unbelievable market price.”
“Spoleto had a huge following before the pandemic hit. We were very sad to see them close due to COVID. We are very excited to be a part of their return and even more excited to bring their unique vision of fresh Italian food to market,” said Derek McCracken, General Manager of Marketplace at Avalon Park.

Spoleto opened its first US location at the University of Central Florida in March 2015 and has since added four additional locations, but due to the pandemic Spoleto had to close all of its US locations in 2020.
Spoleto reopened its first location in the United States at Dollins Food Hall in downtown Orlando in November 2021.

The new Marketplace location is expected to open in July 2022.
