Garten showcased his idea for a simple Thanksgiving table decoration in a 2017 Instagram post, writing, “It’s never too early to plan your Thanksgiving table! It doesn’t have to be fancy, but this time of year I like a bit of color and a pretty plate to add flair to the decor.
The video showed an autumn-colored tablecloth, simple white plates topped with a decorative gold-trimmed plate, silverware, and drinking and wine glasses. During Barefoot Countess episode, Garten explains the “three place settings in my back pocket that I can put together in no time with ingredients from the grocery store.”
